If men where not in the military or a politician, they would go to the theater. The plays they watched often included the gods or current politics at the time.
Woman would often spend their days spinning, weaving, cooking, and cleaning. They were not included in politics or even public life. They mostly kept in the house.
Children kept themselves entertained with toys. Greek boys played games like hockey. The girls where not supposed to be involved in physical activities.The boys and girls also played games such as marbles, dice, checkers and knuckle-bones.

School
Girls stayed at home until they were married. They could only attend certain events. Helping their mother and working in the field, if they had to, were their only jobs.
Up until about age 6, boys would be taught by a slave or their mither. After that they would go to a public school in the neighborhood or a privite school. Every thing was read out loud because books were very exspensive.

Clothing
Men and women wore linen in the summer and wool in the winter. Most families made their own clothes, simple tunics and warm cloaks. The mother. her daughters, and female slaves made the clothes.
